Tribes drop plans for East Windsor casino in near future; lawmakers optimistic on sports betting

Gov. Ned Lamont and Rodney Butler, chairman of the Mashantucket Pequot tribe, have been unable to agree for the past two years on various aspects of gambling. But Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun are now dropping their plans temporarily to build an East Windsor casino, which is what Lamont wanted as part of a broader gambling solution. (Stephen Singer)
