1st Thursdays at OMA: Florida Grown

Classic Movie Series: The Wizard of Oz

Spend the evening in Downtown Winter Garden’s Garden Theatre to watch classic movies on the big screen! April’s classic film is The Wizard of Oz.

Opera Orlando presents Carmen
Thursday, April 1, 7:30pm and Saturday, April 3, 2pm
Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts
Conductor Kelly Kuo and stage director Sara E. Widzer make their Opera Orlando debut with this original production, set in the politically tumultuous and culturally provocative arena of 1960s Haiti.

Historic Bike Tours of Ivanhoe Village
Saturday, April 3, 5:30 and 7pm
Ivanhoe Park Brewing
Take a Historic Bike Tour of Ivanhoe Village around Virginia Drive or Orange Avenue with the district’s Executive Director, Christian Switzer. Tickets include the tour, bike rental, a few drinks at local Ivanhoe businesses and an Ivanhoe Village tote bag.

Thornton Park District 2nd Thursday Wine & Art Walk

Thornton Park District – glass pickup at Eola Wine Company
Orlando’s favorite reoccurring art night, with 22 places to stop for a tasty libation along with art vendors, live music, DJ Mr. Mogembo, artist Selfismo painting live and all sorts of fun! The cost of admission grants you a wristband glass and a map of all the participating drink locations.

Popcorn Flicks in the Park: Duel

Central Park – Winter Park
Enjoy a free outdoor movie in Winter Park’s Central Park every month as part of this ongoing free outdoor movie series. Reservations are required and can be made here starting April 1.

Florida Film Festival
April 9 – 22
Enzian Theater
Through 14 days of 160 films and first-class events, film lovers mingle with filmmakers and celebrities over hand-crafted cocktails and a delicious menu at Eden Bar and inside Enzian Theater.

Vertical Concert Series: US Stones – Rolling Stones Tribute
April 9 – 10, 8pm
Orlando World Center Marriott
The series will feature a different band every weekend that will perform on Friday and Saturday night and will culminate with a nightly laser show. Bands will be featured on the upper pavilion, viewable from the private balconies of the guest rooms surrounding the area.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream
