At least one person has been critically injured in a North Nashville shooting Wednesday evening. The person was transported to a hospital in critical condition.
Metro Nashville Police Capt. Dwayne Greene confirmed around 9 p.m. that although officers continued to investigate, there did not appear to be an ongoing danger to the public.
Multiple shots were fired around 6:35 p.m. near an alley near Buchanan Street behind 16th Avenue North.
MNPD had taped off the area while officers canvassed the street, apparently looking for shell casings.
Officers also inspected a crotch rocket motorcycle, sitting upright, on the sidewalk and a nearby car that appeared to have major front end damage.
No information on a suspect was immediately released.
